Advanced AI meets post-genomic biology

Modern genetics and proteomics are producing a data explosion.  But so far, data analysis techniques have not kept up.  To understand the patterns in the new data sets, and to integrate diverse data sets to draw common conclusions, requires bioinformatic technology more advanced than traditional statistics and machine learning algorithms.

Enter Biomind, our radical biology-focused AI architecture, based on integrating statistical and machine learning techniques with the unique and powerful Webmind AI Engine "general intelligence" architecture.

Cognitive Bioscience is founded by the leaders of the technology team from Webmind Inc., a firm that dissolved in April 2001, a casualty of the dot-com crash.  Biomind incorporates concepts generated and lessons learned during 3 years of AI R&D within Webmind Inc., but is very different in detail from the work done in Webmind Inc. due to a change in software architecture, and a focus on biodata.

Our first products are slated for launch in early 2002.
